Where Can We Take Photos in Athens?
HISTORIC ATHENS & ACROPOLIS VIEWS
Plaka, Anafiotika, Areopagus and Philopappou Hill offer narrow old streets, stone stairways, warm city colours and several beautiful views of the Acropolis.
Early morning is usually quieter and cooler. The hour before sunset gives us warmer light, although the most popular viewpoints can be busier.
Sessions normally take place in the neighbourhoods and viewpoints surrounding the Acropolis rather than inside the ticketed archaeological site.
ATHENS RIVIERA & THE SEA
Edem, Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and other coastal locations work well if you prefer open space, sea views and sunset light.
Tell me where you are staying and how much time you have. I’ll suggest the most practical location and confirm any additional travel cost before you book.
NOT SURE WHICH LOCATION TO CHOOSE?
Send me your hotel area, preferred date and a few photographs you like. I’ll suggest two or three options based on the season, light, crowds and the atmosphere you want.
How it works
1. Message me on WhatsApp or Telegram with your dates and the type of session you want.
2. We plan it together — location, time (usually golden hour, early morning or before sunset), and anything specific you have in mind.
3. We shoot — sessions last between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the package, relaxed pace, no rush.
4. You get your gallery — edited photos delivered within 7-10 days via online gallery, download-ready.
FAQs
How far in advance should I book?
A few days in advance is often enough, especially for weekday sessions. However, sunset times and weekends between April and October can fill up faster, so booking one or two weeks ahead gives us more choice.
Last-minute and same-day sessions may also be possible — just message me and I’ll check my availability.
What if my flight is delayed or my plans change?
Let me know as soon as you can. I’ll do my best to move the photoshoot to another available time during your stay, although a specific replacement time cannot always be guaranteed.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Most standard photoshoots in central Athens can be booked without a deposit. For surprise proposals, particularly busy dates or locations involving significant travel, I may ask for one. I’ll always confirm this before the booking is finalised.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by Revolut, bank transfer or cash. Payment details and timing will be confirmed privately when we arrange the session.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as early as possible. Rescheduling is free and subject to availability.
If a deposit was required for your booking, it may be non-refundable for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the photoshoot. If I ever need to cancel, the deposit will be returned in full and I’ll do my best to offer another suitable time.
Do you speak English?
Yes. I regularly plan and photograph sessions in English with international clients. I also speak Ukrainian, Russian and Greek.
Preparing for the Photoshoot
What if we don’t know how to pose?
That is completely normal. Most of my clients are not used to being photographed professionally.
I’ll guide you through movement, posture and simple natural prompts throughout the session, so you will never be left wondering what to do.
What should we wear?
Coordinated colours usually photograph better than identical outfits. Solid colours, natural fabrics and clothes without large logos or very busy patterns are the safest choice.
Comfortable shoes are especially important for Plaka, Anafiotika, Areopagus and Philopappou Hill because the routes can include cobblestones, steps and uphill walking. You can also send me photographs of your outfit options before the session.
Where do we meet, and how will I find you?
Before the photoshoot, I’ll send you an exact Google Maps meeting point along with any useful directions. We’ll also stay in contact through WhatsApp or Telegram, so you can message me if you have trouble finding the location.
What happens if it rains or the weather changes?
If the weather makes the planned photoshoot impossible, we can reschedule at no extra cost.
If you are only in Athens for a short time, I’ll try to suggest another available time or a more suitable alternative location.
Do you work with babies and young children?
Yes. Family sessions are kept relaxed, with time for movement, small breaks and unexpected moments.
Children do not need to sit still or smile on command. Natural interaction and photographs in motion often work much better than trying to force a pose.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome at most outdoor locations. Let me know in advance so I can suggest a suitable route. Bringing a lead, water and a few favourite treats usually makes the session easier.
Can we take photos inside the Acropolis?
My standard routes use the historic neighbourhoods and viewpoints surrounding the Acropolis, including Plaka, Anafiotika, Areopagus and Philopappou Hill. These locations give us several recognisable Acropolis backgrounds without entering the ticketed archaeological site.
Professional photography inside archaeological sites may require separate permission. If photographs inside the Acropolis are essential to you, please tell me before booking.
Photos & Delivery
How many photographs will we receive, and when?
The number of edited photographs depends on the package you choose. Your finished gallery will normally be delivered within 7–10 days through a private online link.
Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee, depending on my workload and the size of the gallery.
Who chooses the photographs for editing?
I select the strongest photographs from the session, removing duplicates, test shots and images with closed eyes or technical problems.
Every delivered photograph receives professional colour correction and basic retouching where needed. Unedited files and RAW files are not included in the standard packages.
Are the photographs suitable for printing?
Yes. The final photographs are delivered in high resolution and can be used for personal printing as well as digital sharing.
Will our photographs remain private?
I sometimes share a small selection of photographs from my sessions in my portfolio or on social media. If you would prefer your photographs to remain private, please let me know before the photoshoot and I won’t publish them.
What if we would like changes to the editing?
Before the photoshoot, we’ll discuss the mood, references and the overall look you want. My editing style is natural and balanced, without heavy filters or unnatural colours.
If you would like small changes to the colour correction after delivery, I can make up to two rounds of reasonable adjustments. Complete re-editing in a completely different style is not included.
Do you also offer short videos?
A short vertical video may be available as an optional addition to selected photoshoots, including couple and proposal sessions. Availability depends on the location and type of session, so please ask about it before booking.
Surprise Proposals
How do you photograph a proposal without my partner noticing?
We plan the exact location, timing, meeting point and a simple signal in advance. I arrive early and position myself as another person photographing the city, without approaching you before the proposal.
After the moment, I introduce myself and we continue with a relaxed couple session.
What if the proposal happens later than planned?
A short delay is usually manageable — just keep me updated whenever possible. A significant delay may reduce the time available for portraits afterwards or require additional shooting time, depending on my schedule that day.
