Engagement Photoshoot on Edem Beach

Not every photoshoot goes exactly according to plan, and that’s perfectly okay.

This couple had recently got engaged and wanted to celebrate this special chapter of their lives with a simple, romantic session by the sea. We chose Edem Beach in Athens and planned everything around the spring sunset.

Because both of us arrived later than expected, we had only about thirty minutes before the light disappeared. Instead of trying to create dozens of different scenes, we focused on what mattered most: genuine emotions, quiet moments together and the beautiful evening light.

Sometimes that’s all you need.

How did we plan the photoshoot?

We discussed the overall mood before the session and used Pinterest as inspiration for the outfits and colour palette. Keeping everything simple helped the photographs feel timeless.

What should we wear for a beach engagement session?

Soft neutral colours, light fabrics and comfortable clothing work beautifully by the sea. Coordinated outfits usually photograph much better than identical ones.

Is thirty minutes enough?

Absolutely. While having more time gives us more variety, even a short session can produce a beautiful gallery if we focus on the best light and the strongest moments.

When is the best time for a beach photoshoot?

During spring, the hour before sunset offers the softest light and the most comfortable temperature. That’s why I usually schedule beach sessions around golden hour.

Why Edem Beach?

Edem Beach is one of the easiest beaches to reach from central Athens. It offers open sea views, wide walking paths and beautiful sunset light without leaving the city.
